Luigi Arditi was a Italian musical composer and conductor, who about the middle of the 19th century was a prominent figure in London
musical life as a conductor of the opera, at Her Majesty's theatre and also served in other capacities.

He paid frequent visits to America,  conducting the opera with the Royal Italian Opera Company in New York,  where he produced his La
Spia in 1856. His vocal waltz II Bacio was sung by Patti and it enjoyed much popularity

Arditi also toured throughout Europe and visited most major European cities, like Vienna, Madrid, Constantinople. He settled in England
and from 1885 he was conducting at Covent Garden, and other famous theatre's as well as promenade concerts in London's parks

He died at Hove in 1903, England and was buried in Hove Cemetery.
