LEANDER FISHER

26th December 1850 --- Died around 1917

I could only find bits of information on this composer.

Fisher was born in 1850, in Schenectady County,  New York to Jacob Fisher and Sarah Barringer. When he was around 7 years old
he and all his family moved to Buffalo,  Erie County, New York state,  where he lived most  of his life with his brother and mother,
as far as I know he never married.

He started to composer around the late 1860's various piano palour pieces and became a music teacher, Fisher had by the middle
1890's, when most of his works were published became a Professor of Music in Buffalo, although he was well known in Buffalo at
this time,  not many of his  pieces became  known outside of  New York  state,  you will find  below are some of  his more famous
known piano music Composition which I think you can obtain today.

Fisher died probably around 1917 or  shortly after,  he produced his most well  known piano piece at the time  (I have sequenced
this below)  The Robin Return  by the publisher  in Buffalo,  Wahle & Sons,  in 1870,  he also composed Cathedral Chimes (1896),
The Farmer's Dream (A Campaign Song 1896) and By The Sea (1915) to name but a few.
