BRASS SECTION

Next to Classical  music I love  the  sound  of  Brass Instruments,  (this  music you will enjoy)  you will find beautifully crafted
files done for Brass Instruments by various composers, which have been lovingly sequence and kindly donated  to my site  by
Edward Naber  from the Netherlands.  Thank you Edward  for the sheer enjoyment  you have given to me and others like Mike
Moss and you find a section on general brass music files to listen to.

If you think the brass family got its name because the instruments are made of brass, you're right! This family of instruments
do play louder than any other in the orchestra and can also be heard from far away. Although their early ancestors are known
to  have  been made  of wood,  usks,  animal horns  or shells,  today's modern  instruments are  made entirely of  brass.  Brass
instruments  are essentially  very long pipes  that widen  at their ends into a bell like shape.  The pipes have been  curved and
twisted into different shapes  to make them easier to hold and  play you will find lots of musical  midi files to freely download
of Brass section midi's for your enjoyment. Some more information with the exception of the Trombones and Baritones, all of
the brass  are  conical-bore  instruments,  which gives the  British-style brass band  its distinctive  bright,  mellow  sound  (as
opposed to  a dark symphonic sound).  All parts apart from the Bass Trombone and percussion are now written in Treble Clef.
You can find all the information on Brass instruments and its history by simple searches via the internet etc.
