GEORG MARCEL

18??    ---    19??

There is little to  no information on this composer who was most  likely composing  under the  pseudonym of Georg
Marcel. Below is all I could find out.

The piece of music  I have sequenced below is The Swallows Return written in 1913 and it  seems he was known for
composing light music for the piano,  and School Marches which was popluar in the  early 20th century,   Marcel had
this and other  works published by Bank's and Son's of York,  he produced other works Babau,  Glittering Stars,  and
La Joyeuse among many others, maybe he used the pseudonym of George Marcel a french sounding name as French
composers were extremely popular in  the first half of the 20th century,  and could get more  of his works published
than under his own British real name?.
