EDE POLDINI

13th June 1869 --- 28th June 1957

This is the only information I have on this composer and it comes from Wikipedia.

Ede poldini was born in Hungary in 1869,  and composed music mostly of the late romantic  and early modern period.  He his best known in
his native Hungary for all the Opera's he wrote, but he shot upto internationally fame when Fritz Kreisler transcribed one of his piano piece
La poupée valsante for violin.

Poldini studied first in Budapest then went to study in Vienna, by 1908 he had moved to live in Switzerland,  were he wrote most of his well
known Opera's, Wedding in Carnival Time and The Vagabond and the Princess.

Probably one of Poldini is best known works is his miniature piano pieces, such as La poupée valsante as well as his Moments musicaux. His
Marionettes comsisted of seven piano pieces that he later orchestrated. He died in Vevey, Switzerland in 1957, aged 88.
