Astor Piazzola who was a  famous Argentine composer best known for his Tango's  arrangements and a Bandoneon player.   He turned the tango into a
brand new style known as the Nuevo Tango, which consisted of mixing classical music with Jazz. Piazzola would performed his own compositions with
a various ensembles.

Piazzolla was born in Argentine in 1921,  his parents were Italian immigrants who immigrated in the late 19th century to Argentine,  later in 1925 they
moved to New York, but the area they lived in was very violent neighbourhood which consisted of gangsters and low paid and overworked immigrants.
This is were Piazzolla had to learn to take care of himself on the streets of New York.

His father would play classical and Jazz records which Piazzolla began to listen to and so began his love of music. His father bought him a bandoneon in
1929 which he began to lean to play. It was at around the age of 17 he started to composed music which had been influncent by Vardaros interpretation
of tango music that had made a great impression on Piazzolla.

Later around 1941, he was earning enough money to have music lessons under Alberto Ginastera a classical composer. In 1946 Piazzolla formed his own
orchestra the Orquesta Típica, but in 1950 he disbanded his orchestra. He was encourage by Ginastera to enter his symphony Buenos Aires for the Fabian
Sevitzky Award,  the symphony was not well received by  the audience because of the inclusion of 2 bandoneons,  which the audience said should not had
been included in a classical orchestra, but he did gained a grant from the French government to study in Paris.

Piazzolla suffered a cerebral hemorrhage in Paris in 1990, He was in a coma. He never regained consciousness and died on 1992 in Buenos Aires.
