PAUL DUCELLE re CARRIE KROGMAN

1860 --- 1943

I managed to find out online that Paul Ducelle is the pseudonym of Carrie Williams Krogman, Carrie would composed under
some other pseudonyms as well, but she most often used Karl Kleber, Victor Hope and of course Paul Ducelle. Krogman was
married in 1879,  sadly her husband died around 1894 and she was left to look after her 3 children,  and that is probably the
reason why she composed using male pseudonyms so it would be easy for her to get her works published.

Carrie interest in music was encouraged and developed by her parents, but she did not have any of her works published until
the 1890's.   By the early 1900's she had managed to forge relationships with some of  the major publishing houses, by using
her male pseudonyms to the works she sent to the publishers. Carrie is thought to have composed some 100's of Parlor Salon
style of music along with dances etc. I will list a few of sheet music pieces you can still download from the internet.

A piece titled A Twilight Reverie (1904),   At the fountain,  Opus.18,  Revised 1923,  another titled Valse Gracieuse Opus.23
(1904), and last but not least Titania a Minuet (1903). There are proberly more works by this composer if you check online.
