Pablo Luna was born on May 1879 in Alhama de Aragon, Luna took his first steps in music by taking lessons from a organist from a local church in
his place of birth,  shortly after Luna went to study at the  School of Music in Zaragoza,  he studied harmony under Teodoro Ballo and composition
with Miguel Arnaudas. Luna earned his living upto 1903 by playing the violin in churches, Theatres and small chamber orchestra.

Luna began to composed works for Operetta's starting with la Petenera Lolilla in 1903 and La Escalera de los Duendes in 1904. Luna interest then
turned to studying  the musical form  of Zarzuela  and in 1905 Luna moved   to Madrid to study zarzuela,  his association with  the famous spanish
composer Ruperto Chapi,  who was then co-director of the  Theatre de la Zarzuela,  help him greatly in  the knowledge of zarzuela.   Luna with the
librettist Luis Pascual Frutos who wrote the libretto for Luna operetta Mussetta premiered in 1908.

Luna wrote a very  successful zarzuela Molinos de viento in 1911  and later a work that  turned out to be  one his most famous piece's was El Nino
Judio. Later on in 1925 a grand concert was held in his honour in which he received the gold medal of the city of Zaragoza.  Luna produced a Great
number of works throughout his life. He died on 1942 in Madrid, he was in the process of writing his last work El Pilar de la Victoria which was left
unfinished.
