JOSEPH FRANCIS LAMB

Joseph Francis Lamb was born in New Jersey on the 6th Sept 1887, He was self taught on the Piano, and his musical taste was influence on the ragtime
creation of Scott Joplin.   His first pieces which  he wrote around 1900's were never published as  was most of his works,  as he just did this as a hobby, 
and earned living doing various jobs, for example working dry goods company etc.

Lamb moved to Canada in the mid 1900's and wrote various pieces which were not published at the time he was in Canada but later when he went back
to the U.S.A, Joplin was so impressed by lamb Ragtime music that he recommended him to ragtime publisher John Stark, which John Start Published for
the next decade.

Lamb published his most famous Rags between 1908 tp 1919, some of his pieces were American Beauty Rag, (1913), Champagne Rag,(1910),  Reindeer
Ragtime, to name just a few here.   You will get a fuller Composer information at the link above.   For me this is the first I have heard of this composer,  I
am very glad to have come across him (Steven).
