CARL HEINS

8th June 1859 --- 10th September 1923

Carl Heins was a German composer and pianist who was known in Germany for his salon music pieces which he composed in the classical style.
Heins composed mostly salon music and palour songs.   he managed to composed melodies in a style that  showed off his abitilys of making the
piano sing in a picturesquely salon style which was all the raged at that time.

It was Heins competency of the keyboard  that led him to perform and compose.   In the early 1900's he composed the music and the words for
the song Zwei Dunkle Augen which was recorded by the tenor Fritz Wunderlich, also a Robert Leonhardt, an operatic baritone for the New York
Metropolitan Opera company, recorded some of Carl Hein songs between 1913 and 1922.
