CHARLES ALBERT CASPAR

1827 --- 1905

As normal I could only find bits of information on this composer.

Charles Albert Caspar (1827-1905) French composer  of mostly music in the style of famous composers, he had also produced various
walzes, operatic fantasies,  and other salon pieces  throughout  the 19th century.  Caspar studied at  the Paris Conservatory,  and was
Organist of St. Jacque’s, Lunéville, France.

Besides composing piano music , he also wrote and edited a couple of  books like Modern Library of Pianoforte Music. The piece I have
sequenced below is of one his better known pieces, Un Fragment de Mendelssohn, some more of his works are The Eva waltzes (1849)
La Rose´e du Soir, de F. Spindler (1861), and Der Freischu¨tz, fantaisie sur l'ope´ra de Weber (1863). You can still download the sheet
music of this composer from the internet.
