FRANZ BEHR

22nd July 1837   ---   15th February 1898

Franz Behr published during his life time over 600 works of mostly song and piano salon music but never seem to achive public recognition,
although he became quite well known in his time,  by the time he died most of his works were unknown,  the only one which has made it to
the present day was La Rieuse,  Polka Badine but only in a  transcription form of the work,  that was use by  Rachmaninoff,  which he titled
Polka de  W.R.

Works that Behr composed some of which you can still download as sheet music are Royal Gavotte, Will o’ the Wisp ,Evening Chimes in the
Mountains. and the Hungarian Dance which I have sequenced below, to name but a few.

Behr died in 1898.
